Kobe beef and Wagyu beef is expensive, partly because the only place you can truly is the region Wagyu Kobe in Japan. Although the Japanese are another area for breeding Wagyu cattle has yet led to the slaughter of Kobe, a mystery remains on, how it is done back. Wagyu cattle are massaged daily, and reports from farmers to swim skin of the animal in sake brewing and animal feed and for products of high costs. Also Wague Angus cattle in the United States is considered the best quality of beef because of the marbling and tenderness of the meat. The driver of another high prices, demand for beef of Kobe, especially the United States, where imports of beef from Japan small. The demand is high, supply is low, raise prices. Check out this link for more details, but I hope it helped.
